CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
AUTHORIZING HIRING OF KODET ARCHITECTS TO PROVIDE CONCEPT DRAWINGS
AND CONSTRUCTION COST ESTIMATES FOR COMMUNITY CENTER EXPANSION
EXPLORATION
WHEREAS, Council has been and continues to explore an expansion of the Mounds
View Community Center; and
WHEREAS, Council envisions seeking state bonding for the project, has received a
report for an economic consultant specific to operation and identified a governmental relations
firms and,
WHEREAS, hiring of an Architectural firm to provide concept drawings and valid cost
estimates in incumbent to the bonding process and successful applications; and
WHEREAS, Council interviewed three firms at their October workshop and directed
staff to have further discussions with two of them; and
WHEREAS, staff conducted those discussions on Monday October 10, 2022 and will
provide their recommendation to Council at their October 10, 2022 meeting.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds
View, Ramsey County, Minnesota that Kodet Architects be retained and $35,000 authorized
to provide concept drawings and validated cost estimates for the Mounds View Community
Center expansion exploration effort.
