COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
RENAMING RANDOM PARK TO HODGES PARK
WHEREAS, at the August 26, 2022 Parks and Recreation and Forestry
Commission Meeting (Commission) the Mounds View Lions requested the Commission
consider rename Random Park to Hodges Park; and
WHEREAS, both Don and Amy Hodges were involved in numerous civic
organizations and dedicated many hours and years to the City of Mounds View; and
WHEREAS, at the September 22, 2022 meeting, the Commission reviewed the
Mounds View Lions request to officially change the name of Random Park.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds
View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows:
1. That Random Park is Renamed to Hodges Park.
2. The City Council approves placing a new Park Sign with Hodges Park placed on the
sign.
3. The Mayor, City Administrator, Staff and consultants are hereby authorized and
directed to take any and all additional steps and actions necessary or convenient in
order to accomplish the intent of this Resolution.
