CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
PROVIDING SLATE OF NOMINEES TO RAMSEY COUNTY BOARD OF
COMMISSIONERS FOR APPOINTMENT TO RICE CREEK WATERSHED BOARD
OF MANAGERS
WHEREAS, The City of Mounds View is wholly within the Rice Creek Watershed
District; and
WHEREAS, Watershed Districts have broad regulation and control of storm water
management and water preservation and conservation; and
WHEREAS, Watershed Districts have levy authority and Rice Creek operates with
an annual budget of approximately $6 million; and
WHEREAS, MN Statute 103D.11 provides that initiated entities that created the
district have ability to present a list of nominees to the County Board for consideration
and selection; and
WHEREAS, Rice Creek Board of Managers is comprised of two appointed from
Anoka and Ramsey County each and one from Washington County; and
WHEREAS, both Ramsey County and Anoka County have Managers with expiring
terms in January of 2023.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds
View, Ramsey County, Minnesota that the Ramsey County Board of Commissioners give
thoughtful and careful consideration to appoint one of the three individuals who qualify
under Minnesota State Statute 103D.11 subd.1 and are able and interested in serving on
the Rice Creek Watershed Board of Managers
