MEETING MINUTES
1. CALL TO ORDER at 6:35 PM
2. ROLL CALL: Commissioners: Arel, Curry, Kroeger, Lillemo, Palm, Sullivan,Wake Wiesner,
Staff: Peterson | Thomas
3. APPROVAL OF AGENDA: Motion to approve by Palm, 2nd by Kroeger. Motion Passed 5-0
4. APPROVAL OF MINUTES
October 28, 2021 Meeting Minutes. Motion to approve by Sullivan, 2nd by Lillemo. Motion Passed 4-0.
5. PUBLIC INPUT
Citizens may speak to issues not on tonight’s agenda. Before speaking, please give your full name and
address. Please limit your comments to three minutes. No residents present.

A. Parks and Recreation – Andy: See attached report.
B. Public Works – Don: See attached report.

8. NEW BUSINESS
A. Review Commission Meeting Calendar for 2022: Motion to approve calendar by Palm, 2nd by
Lillemo. Motion Passed 5-0
B. Review Parks and Recreation Programs for 2022: See attached report. Other suggestions for
programming? More adult activities in the evening outside the work day (gardening, game night, book
club, social media basics, computer basics, buying a house, retirement classes). Programs for people
with special needs (kids and adults). Tap into high school groups: robotics, dance team, Friday field
trips to Cheap Skate, mini golf, etc. where kids could just meet at a location and hop on a bus to go to
the venue. Laurentian? Disc golf league? Swimming lessons at Edgewood? Can we point residents to
a different organization that might offer classes that we don’t (ISD 621, Community Ed, NB, SV)?
C. Consider Cancelation of December Parks and Recreation and Forestry Commission Meeting: Motion
to cancel by Palm, 2nd by Lillemo. Motion Passed 5-0
D. Recognition of outgoing Commissioners Curry and Kroeger
9. COMMISSIONER REPORTS: Woodcrest Park-making it a natural park with things for kids to do along the
walking path.
10. REQUESTS FOR FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS / OTHER BUSINESS
11. ADJOURNMENT: Motion to adjourn by Kroeger, 2nd by Palm. Motion Passed 5-0
