RESOLUTION NO. 9704 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />APPROVING AND AUTHORIZATION FOR A JOINT POWERS <br />AGREEMENT WITH THE CITY OF SPRING LAKE PARK FOR THE 2022- 2023 STREET <br />REHABILITATION PROJECT — TRAIL SECTION ALONG MOUND VIEW BOULEVARD. <br />WHEREAS, the City is in the process of rehabilitating streets that were not <br />included in the 2007 Street Rehabilitation Plan; and <br />WHEREAS, the proposed 2022 - 2023 Street Project includes building trail along <br />Mounds View Boulevard into the City of Spring Lake Park; and <br />WHEREAS, with the proposed reconstruction of the trail section Staff knew a <br />JPA for the building and continued maintenance of the trail would be needed; and <br />WHEREAS, Staff contacted the City attorney to create and submit the draft JPA <br />to the City of Spring Lake Park. Spring Lake Park has reviewed and approved the JPA <br />with minor changes; and <br />WHEREAS, City Staff along with the City Attorney reviewed the JPA and <br />recommend the approval of the agreement. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds <br />View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: <br />1. The City hereby approves the Joint Powers Agreement with the City of Fridley <br />for the 2022-2023 Street Rehabilitation Project, including building a trail section <br />along Mounds View Boulevard. The JPA covers the design, construction <br />oversite and future maintenance including, crack filling, patching and sealing of <br />the trail. <br />2. The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to <br />execute all appropriate documents to effectuate the actions contemplated by <br />this resolution. <br />The Mounds View Vision <br />A Thriving Desirable Communi(v <br />
