RESOLUTION NO. 9713 CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW COUNTY OF RAMSEY STATE OF MINNESOTA A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE HIRE OF HAI HUYNH TO THE FACILITIES MAINTENANCE POSITION (WEDNESDAY — SUNDAY), PENDING BCA APPROVAL WHEREAS, the Facilities Maintenance position was advertised three times in 2022 and filled twice; once for with a candidate who did not complete probation, the second time for two positions, with only position filled; the third time with four (4) applications received, three (3) invited to interview for the position; and, WHEREAS, Mr. Hai Huynh embraced skills determined to most closely match the duties and responsibilities as outlined in the job description; and, WHEREAS, Mr. Huynh's hiring assessment and pre -employment drug screen were successfully completed, with the BCA background in the final stages; and, WHEREAS, Mr. Huynh if hired will begin at Step 2 of the 2023 pay plan, plus $1.50 per hour due to the late schedule; and, 2023 Hourly Wa a Schedule — Plus $1.50 added per hour for working late hours: Step 1 Step 1.5 Step 2 Step 3 Step 4 Ste 5 $21.62 $22.25 $22.88 $24.18 $25.39 $26.65 WHEREAS, Mr. Huynh will begin employment on or around March 6th, 2023; and, WHEREAS, Mr. Huynh will be subject to a six month probationary period and eligible for a wage increase to Step 3, provided completion of a successful probationary period. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council does hereby approve the hire of Hai Huynh to the position of Facilities Maintenance, at Step 2 of the pay plan (currently $21.38/hour plus $1.50/hour due to late hours = $22.88/hour) and with employment to commence on or around March 6, 2023, provided clear BCA results are received; and eligible for a wage increase to Step 3 at six months of employment after a successful probationary period.
