SUMMARY OF COMMISSION ACTIVITY: January 2014 - December 2014
January 8, 2014: No meeting due to poor weather and lack of ability to meet with a quorum.
February 12, 2014: Discussion continued on Chapter 8 2013 Annual Summary was reviewed.
Resolution 2014-01 was adopted to meet the 2nd Thursday from March through June 2014.
March 13, 2014: Discussion continued on Chapter 8, with an emphasis on reviewing what
rights were retained by the citizens of Mounds View and taking a closer look at a better
presentation format.
April 10, 2014: Discussion continued on Chapter 8 with review of the retained rights
documentation from conversations at the March meeting.
May 8, 2014: There was no meeting in May due to lack of quorum.
June 12, 2014: Discussion continued on Chapter 8. Bill Doty brought copies of the New
Brighton Bulletin publication of the original Charter for members to review. Resolution 2014-
02 Meeting time for July, August, Sept, October with the commission continuing to meet at
7:00 PM on the 2nd Thursday, if available.
July 10, 2014: Discussion continued on Chapter 8.
August 14, 2014: Discussion continued on Chapter 8.
September 11, 2014: Discussion continued on Chapter 8.
October 6, 2014: Joint meeting with Mounds View Council and the Charter Commission.
October 9, 2014: Discussion continued on Chapter 8. Resolution 2014-03 was amended to
specify 11/13/2014, 12/11/2014, 1/15/2014, and 2/12/2014 and adopted as amended.
November 13, 2014: November meeting cancelled.
December 11, 2014: December meeting cancelled.
