Re: Skate Park At The Community Center
As per our discussion regarding the proposed skate park memo from Greg Lee —
Dept of Public Works. After reviewing the proposal I have great concerns and
reservations . While I am a great proponent of Community Center use for the
residents of Mounds Views and with talking with other business associates the
atmosphere of the Banquet Center guests will be an issue for us. Most of the
business associates have offered the following information when I asked about
skateboarders. There is a heavy increase in graffiti and the perceived negative image
of the skateboarding following. My own concerns are the private property of visiting
guests of the Banquet Center.
