April 28, 2005

1. Roll Call
2. Approval of minutes from the March 17, 2005 meeting.
3. Unfinished Business:
Greenfield Park Play Equipment -
The equipment arrived on April 27th. Staff will be preparing the lot in late May and will start assembly in June. There will be a dedication ceremony on June 23rd.
Groveland Park Building Replacement. –
A draft plan will be submitted on Thursday, April 28, 2005. Comments will be need at the May 26th meeting.
Facility Guide Update –
The printing of the Facility Guide will be delayed until there is more information pertaining to the Groveland Building. Steve will present the cost for printing the guide. The number
of copies to print and the frequency of reproduction will need to be discussed by the Commissioners.
YMCA Committee Update –
The April meeting was cancelled.
2004 Park Needs Analysis –
The category B items were approved byCity Council on March 28th.
City Wide Survey
The City Wide Survey has been completed and presented to the City Council on April 11, 2005. Attached is a copy of the results. There will be a Town Hall Meeting on April 30, 2005 to
discuss the result of the survey.
LaCrosse Field / Oakwood Park Renovation Project
Staff continues to work on a complete proposal for Oakwood Park including the construction of a field, the removal of the existing playground equipment, and the installation of tot-lot
playground equipment. Costs and impacts still need to be determined. Discussions with the Watershed will also need to occur. A rough draft of the proposal is attached.
Park Lighting Project
Staff continues to work with an electrical contractor to develop a lighting proposal. No rebates are available.
County Road 10 Corridor Improvement Program - Design Theme Subcommittee Update
A meeting was held on March 16, 2005. The next meeting has yet to be determined.
