May 26, 2005

1. Roll Call
2. Approval of minutes from the April 28, 2005 meeting.
3. Unfinished Business:
Greenfield Park Play Equipment -
The equipment arrived on April 27th. Staff will be preparing the lot in late May and will start assembly in June. There will be a dedication ceremony on June 23rd.
Groveland Park Building Replacement. –
A draft plans were submitted on Thursday, April 28, 2005. Comments on the plans and recommendations on how the Commissioners wish to proceed will be needed at the May 26th meeting.
Facility Guide Update –
The printing of the Facility Guide will be delayed until there is more information pertaining to the Groveland Building. The cost for printing the guide was included in the April 28th
meeting packet. The number of copies to print and the frequency of reproduction will need to be discussed by the Commissioners.
YMCA Committee Update –
City Wide Survey
The City Wide Survey has been completed and presented to the City Council on April 11, 2005. The survey and results were also presented at the Town Hall Meeting which was held on April
30, 2005. A copy of the results are included.
LaCrosse Field / Oakwood Park Renovation Project
Based on the park tour held on May 24, 2005, staff will make changes to the proposal for Oakwood Park.
Park Lighting Project
Staff continues to work with an electrical contractor to develop a lighting proposal. No rebates are available. Nothing new to report at this time.
County Road 10 Corridor Improvement Program - Design Theme Subcommittee Update
A meeting was held on March 16, 2005. The next meeting has been scheduled for June 15, 2005.
4. New Business:
Park Tour Summary – Attached is a brief summary of the Park Tour that was taken on May 24, 2005.

5. Commissioner/Staff Reports:
Pinewood Elementary School Playground Equipment Replacement Project
Lakeside Lions Parks Fishing pier – the pier was installed on Monday May 23, 2005. The Parks and Recreation Director for Spring Lake Park has received some concerns as to the location
of the pier. Residents to the east are concerned that the pier is located to too far to the east property line. Comments from the Commissioners pertaining to the location of the pier
is sought by the Parks and Recreation Director for Spring Lake Park.
