Active Living Ramsey County! was designed to create and promote environments that make it safe and convenient for people to integrate physical activity into their daily routines. In many communities it is difficult to walk or bike to school, work and other destinations. The ALRC initiative is looking at changes to designs, transportation and policies which support physical activity in our daily routine. Walking...Playing in the Park...Bicycling...activity that is good for people, for the community, the state and our nation. Nationally known experts will guide our community through the planning process. Ann Forsyth, Director of the Metropolitan Design Center at the University of Minnesota; Rich Killingsworth, Program Director for the Ruth Mott Foundation, Flint Michigan, and Tyler Norris, President of Community Initiatives, Inc., Boulder Colorado.
