RESOLUTION NO. 9743 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING THE 2022 MOUNDS VIEW <br />COACH OF THE YEAR ADNAN OMANOVIC AND ROBERT TURNER <br />WHEREAS, the Mounds View Coach of the Year Award recognizes ordinary citizens who have given <br />unselfishly of their time by coaching and mentoring Mounds View youth and who are dedicated to teaching <br />sportsmanship and leadership skills to the youth of our community; and <br />WHEREAS, nominations were solicited from the public and were reviewed by the Parks, Recreation, <br />and Forestry Commission; and <br />WHEREAS, Adnan Omanovic and Robert Turner were selected for the 2022 award and meet the <br />outlined selection criteria; and <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Omanovic and Mr. Turner are both Mounds View residents that have coached third <br />and fourth grade soccer for the Mounds View Recreation league; and <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Omanovic and Mr. Turner demonstrate exemplary sportsmanship both on and off the <br />field and coached their team with leadership, humor, and enthusiasm while instilling fundamental skills in the <br />players; and <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Omanovic and Mr. Turner were able to bring their expertise into the Mounds View <br />Recreation league by breaking down the fundamentals so each child was able to understand, while managing <br />a large and diverse group of third and fourth graders; and <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Omanovic and Mr. Turner unselfishly gave of their time and coached with calmness <br />and a high level of enthusiasm and dedication which allowed the players to improve and grow while still <br />enjoying the experience of learning and playing the game of soccer; and <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Omanovic and Mr. Turner consistently showed respect to each player, and received <br />respect from the players, which showed their level of commitment and enjoyment of the game. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mounds View City Council does hereby present the <br />2022 Mounds View Coach of the Year to Adnan Omanovic and Mr. Turner in sincere gratitude and appreciation <br />for their support and dedication to the players, parents, and the athletic community of the City of Mounds View. <br />Adopted this 241h day of April, 2023. <br />Acftng Mayor Gary Meehlhause <br />- <br />Councii'mernber The esa Marie Cermak ncilm <br />1-17 <br />ncilmember Zach Li <br />,Attest: Nyle ZiWh0d,pi y Administrator <br />
