You have been appointed to the Community Center Task Force!! See the resolution enclosed. There is work to be done in the month of December! You need to appoint 5 more members to the Task Force. I have submitted an article to the New Brighton Bulletin advertising for applications. Provided that the article is indeed printed as planned in the New Brighton Bulletin on December 11, the deadline will be December 18 to receive applications. I wish to call a meeting of the Parks and Recreation Commission for Thursday, December 19 at 6:30 at City Hall for the purpose of selecting 5 of those applications for appointment to the Task Force. This will allow time to notify those persons selected and will give time to plan a meeting in ithe early part of January. We will need to reveiw applications and select a Task Force - as soon as possible so that work on the Community Center can move as quickly as possible. Therefore, I hope that you all can attend the meeting on the 19th. I promise that it will be short - perhaps an hour or less. If you are unable to attend, please call me at 784-0618. Thanks for your flexibility. PS. If you know of people that you believe would be good on the Task Force, tell them about this opportunity.
