Unless first approved by a majority of voters in a state general election, the City shall not replace the competitive market in solid waste collection with a system in which
solid waste services are provided by government -chosen collectors or in government -designed districts. The adoption of this Charter amendment shall supersede any
ordinances, ordinance amendments, or Charter amendments related to solid waste adopted by the City Council after 3anuary 1, 2023.
This proposed ordinance is sponsored by the following committee of registered voters: 1. Aaron Pratt, 2940 Springview Lane, Mounds View. 2. Bob King, 7408 Silver Lake Road, Mounds View.
3. Patrick Lee, 7550 Silver Lake Road, Mounds View. 4. Dave Thury, 2916 Springview Lane, Mounds View. 5. John Aitkin II, 2940 County Road H2, Mounds View.
