SR. CENTER
REPORT: Director Saarion informed the Commission
about the progress of the Regional Senior
Center Task Force. Saarion reported that the
Task Force was recommending that the City
Councils approve funding for a telephone
survey to gain information regarding the need
and desire for a regional senior center. A
• video has been made providing information
about the project. This video will be played
on the Cable TV government access channel and
is available for groups to view.
LAMBERT PROJECT: Director Saarion reported that all the
contracted work at Lambert has been completed
except for the laying of the parking lot
asphalt. The curbing was curing and the lot
was ready for final work when the snow came.
It is unlikely that the parking lot hard
surface will be laid this Fall unless a warm
spell comes sufficient for laying asphalt.
NEXT MTG. It was decided that the December meeting will
be postponed due to the holidays unless an
issue arises. In such a case Director
Saarion will request a meeting.
