CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
APPROVING THE HIRE OF WHITNEY TENNISON
TO THE POSITION OF POLICE OFFICER
WHEREAS, the City Council has approved recruitment for the position of Police Officer in
the Police Department; and,
WHEREAS, the approved hiring procedures consist of training and experience scoring,
oral interviews, physical agility testing, thorough background investigation, physical examination,
and psychological examination; and,
WHEREAS, a top candidate in the interview process was Whitney Tennison; and,
WHEREAS, staff of the Police Department has met with Whitney Tennison, and the Chief
of Police recommends that Whitney Tennison be appointed to the position of Police Officer; and,
WHEREAS, staff requests to begin employment of Whitney Tennison at a starting wage
of 75% top patrol rate.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Mounds View,
Ramsey County, Minnesota does hereby:
• Appoint Whitney Tennison to the position of Police Officer
• Starting date to be June 17, 2024
• Wage at the 75% top patrol rate of pay ($33.45/hour) as indicated in the Law
Enforcement Labor Services contract
