HomeMy WebLinkAbout1994-10-27 PRF MinutesW MINUTES OF THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE MOUNDS VIEW PARRS AND RECREATION COMMISSION October 27, 1994 6:30 p.m. City Hall CALL TO ORDER: Chairperson Burmeister called the meeting to order after the tour of the golf course facility. ROLL CALL: All members were present including Chair Burmeister, Commissioners Dentz, Trettel, Starr, Long, Silvis, and Stevenson. Also present was Council Liaison Trude, Student Intern Dana Willis, Director Saarion and resident, staff member and volunteer Janet Bona. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Commissioner Silvis made a motion seconded by Commissioner Starr to approve the minutes of August 25, 1994. Motion passed unanimously. ORDINANCE REVIEW: The Commission carefully went through the each and every ordinance, had discussion and made changes along the way. Commissioner Starr made a motion to approve the ordinance with the changes and recommend to the City Council review and approval. Motion was seconded by Commissioner Dentz. Motion passed unanimously. DEPT UPDATES: Director Saarion reviewed actions which the City Council has made to benefit the community including opening Woodcrest Park rink this winter, approval for an assessment to Silver View Park storm water ditch opportunities for improvements, approved an appraisal of Newton property land which is adjacent to Groveland Park and approved further improvements to Hillview and Groveland Park buildings. "4142H. BUSINESS: Councilmember Trude reported that homeowners (except one homeowner living on Silver View Park) are not interested in netting for the ballfields. This seems to be a one residents' issue. NEXT MTG.: Next meeting will be held Thursday, December 1 at 6:30 p.m. Because our November/December regular meetings land on the holidays it is a custom that we combine the two into one mtg. ADJOURNMENT: Commissioner Long moved to adjourn the mtg.
