MEETING MINUTES
DECEMBER 1, 1994
6: 30 P.M.
CITY HALL
CALL TO
ORDER: Commission Chair Burmeister called the meeting to
order at 6: 30 p.m.
ROLL CALL: Commissioners present included Burmeister, Silvis,
Stevenson, Trettel, Starr, Dentz . City
Councilmember Trude was present as well as
Director Saarion and Janet Bona.
RECREATION
VIDEO: The Marketing Task Force was invited to share in
the viewing of a video tape of benefits of Parks
and Recreation.
MINUTES: The minutes of October 27, 1994 were approved
unanimously.
• GROVELAND
APPRAISAL: Staff reviewed the appraisal information received
for land abutting Groveland Park. Director
Saarion asked for direction regarding their
recommendation for land purchase to the City
Council. Commission Silvis made a motion seconded
by Commissioner Dentz to recommend that the City
Council go forward with land purchase negotiations
of the land next to Groveland Park. Motion passed
unanimously.
1995 GOALS: The Commission reviewed 1994 goals and action
steps and discussed goals for 1995 . (See goals
attached to these minutes. )
ADJOURNMENT: Meeting was adjourned at 8 : 15 p.m.
