MEETING MINUTES MOUNDS VIEW
1. CALL TO ORDER at 6:30 PM
2. ROLL CALL: Commissioners: °ndeF69n, Arel, Lillemo, Palm, Mills, Sullivan, Wake Wiesner
Staff: Peterson I Thomas *to be absent
3. APPROVAL OF AGENDA: Motion to approve by Sullivan, 2nd by Palm. Motion Passed 6-0
4. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: May 26, 2022: Motion to approve by Wake Wiesner, 2nd by Mills.
Motion Passes 6-0
5. PUBLIC INPUT
Citizens may speak to issues not on tonight's agenda. Before speaking, please give your full
name and address. Please limit your comments to three minutes. NO RESIDENTS PRESENT
6. STAFF REPORTS
A. Parks and Recreation - Andy: See attached report
B. Public Works — Don: See attached report. Direct Staff to check on if there are infant
changing tables in the City Hall Park restrooms near the splash pad, and hopefully put them
in.
7. UNFINISHED BUSINESS
A. Community Center Expansion- Verbal Report — Don: There is a need to expand, there is
funding possible, but we need to accommodate for 400 parking spaces total. Further
investigation is needed.
B. Pickle Ball Courts — Silver View Park: Direct Staff to mark off the court dimensions to
the west of the building and come up with cost estimates
C. Random Playground - Installation Update: it's coming along
D. City Hall Park — Installation of New Pavilions: coming soon
E. List from IBL — Baseball Field Improvements: They would like fencing along 1st and 3rd
baselines, dugouts, and shed to store equipment at both City Hall and Silver View fields.
Direct Staff to bring back itemized cost estimates for each field.
8. NEW BUSINESS
A. Review 2023 Capital Park Improvement Project List: Reviewed list of projects. Consider
switching reconstruction of Greenfield Playground in 2023, and Hillview Playground in 2024
(flipping what is labeled on the PIP). Direct Staff to bring back their recommendation.
B. Festival In the Park — August 19 & 20, 2022: Parade and Family Fun Night at City Hall on
Friday. Saturday will be at Silver View. Shuttle busses will be provided from MVCC and
another location TBD. Fireworks at 9:40 PM
9. COMMISSIONER REPORTS: NONE
10. REQUESTS FOR FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS / OTHER BUSINESS: NONE
11. ADJOURNMENT: Motion to adjourn by Palm at 7:31 PM, 2nd by Lillemo. Motion Passed 6-0
