CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF ADDITIONAL CONCRETE PANELS FOR AN OUTSIDE
MATERIAL STORAGE BIN
WHEREAS, the City has the responsibility to efficiently operate the storm water
system; and
WHEREAS, the City Council approved Resolution 9783 and 9784 authorizing Stantec to
complete the assessments regarding Ardan Park, AA-1.P1 and AA-1-.P2 storm water ponds;
and
WHEREAS, the Stantec and Staff are currently preparing and reviewing the 90%
completed plans for dredging and improvements to Ardan Park storm water ponds; the project
will also include the removal of the sweeping pile; and
WHEREAS, with the proposed removal of this sweeping pile, the Public Works
Department will change its operation and the BMPs for street sweepings; this change will
require the installation of an additional material storage bin at the Public Works Facility; and
WHEREAS, the sweeping debris will be placed in the bin and every two years screened
for trash and sand that can be recycled; and
WHEREAS, Staff reviewed different options and determined that the same type of
cement panel that was built originally would be the best fit; and
WHEREAS, Staff recommends the City Council approve this resolution for the purchase
of 10 concrete panels, transitions, installation and freight from Hanson Silo Company of Lake
Lillian, MN for a cost of $20,000.00, to be funded from the Storm Water Fund account 745-4415-
705 with a 2024 budget of $225,000.00 for Storm Water Projects.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds View,
Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows:
Approves the final proposal from Hanson Silo Company of Lake Lillian, MN for 10
concrete panels, transitions, installation and freight at a cost of $20,000.00.
2. Funded from the Storm Water Department 2024 adopted budget account 745-4415-
7050.
3. The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to execute all
appropriate documents to effectuate the actions contemplated by this resolution.

4. The Mayor and City Administrator, Staff and consultants are hereby
authorized and directed to take any and all additional steps and actions
necessary or convenient in order to accomplish the intent of this Resolution.
