Item Title/Subject: Review Proposed Schedule for Joint Meetings with Various Mounds View Boards and Commissions
Background:
At the December work session the Council directed that joint meetings with each of the City Commissions/Committees be established during the first part of this year.
Discussion:
After reviewing potential meeting dates with staff it was determined that reserving time (e.g., one to two hours) on the regular Council work session meeting dates would allow sufficient
time to review priorities and discuss issues. Additional follow-up meetings could be scheduled as necessary. An exception to the work session format would be the Charter Commission
that will need additional time to review proposed Charter amendments that could be included as a possible referendum question for this year’s general election ballot.
February 21st - Charter Commission (note: this is a Tuesday night due to the Monday holiday that week).
March 6th - Park and Rec. Commission (we will have the MVCC Task Force Report this night also)
April 3rd - Planning Commission
May 1st - Cable Committee, Economic Development Commission
Recommendation:
It is recommended that the City Council adopt the proposed schedule above and forward to the Commissions and Committees for consideration. If the selected dates don’t work for any of
the groups, they may recommend alternative dates for Council consideration.
