Adopted by City Council: December ??, 2006 (tentatively scheduled for December 11th)
The following is the classification system for rental of amenities that the City provides. These items include, but are not limited to: Event Center Space at the Community Center, Multi-Purpose
Rooms at the Community Center, the Community Center Gymnasium, Park Buildings, Park Shelters, and Athletic Fields.
The Classification System will be used to establish a fee structure. It will also be used to establish priority in reserving Athletic Fields*.
Classifications for fee structure:
Class I**
School District 621
Mounds View scouts, Lions, and 4-H
Class II
Mounds View Residents
Mounds View Athletic Associations ***
Mounds View religious groups (with MV address)
Mounds View non-profits (with MV address)
Class III
Mounds View employees
Mounds View for-profit groups
Non-local school districts
Non-local non-profit groups
Class IV
Non-local religious groups
Non-local for-profit groups
Non-residents individuals, private agencies, businesses and/or venders
Colleges and Universities
*Mounds View Field Use Policy
The MV YMCA and park maintenance staff will meet with class I representatives in February to determine field availability and scheduling. Class I organizations will receive their fields
at that time.
The MV YMCA and parks maintenance staff will set a seasonal field use policy to determine fields available, appropriate age groups, dates and times available and reservation policy.
Reservations for classes II, III, & IV will begin on April 1, 2007.
Field reservations may be limited depending on the number of teams and fields available.
** Class I groups are eligible for 2 free rentals per month. Event Center Space and the Community Center Gymnasium are not included for free rentals
** On September 25, 2006 the City Council made a temporary /interim motion to change the classification for local / non-profit athletic associations from Class II to Class I. It is
assumed that this temporary motion would remain in effect until which time the City Council adopts the 2007 Fee Schedule, which would supercede said temporary motion. The 2007 Fee Schedule
anticipated to be adopted on December 11, 2006.
