HomeMy WebLinkAboutRewardsCities can only fund rewards for felony crimes. I assume vandalism does not rise to that level. Individual citizens could start a crime stoppers fund that could pay out rewards.

At the last Park Commission meeting I was asked to check with the Finance Dept. (you specifically) as to where the monies for rewards could come from. I have included the e-mail correspondence
between Deputy Chief Tom Kenny and myself so that you know what I'm talking about. One question was: Would the reward be departmental? If it was street signs would it come from the
street budget? In parks would it be park budget? Water, Sewer, City Hall...
Etc. Please let me know if you have questions and I will try to answer them.....Thanks, Steve
