Having reviewed and discussed options for the long term plan for the current open space associated with Greenfield Park, please check what your preference is:
Eliminate the existing trail and let the area become fully natural
Keep the existing trail "as is" and do minimal maintenance
Upgrade the trail and increase maintenance in this area
Develop a Disc Golf Course – can be done with other options
Create large ponding area(s) – as was proposed in 2001/2002

he Mounds View Parks and Recreation and Forestry Commission is seeking public input on what the long term plan for the park land area and existing trailway located north of Oakwood Park
and east / northeast of Greenfield Park should be.
In recent months the Parks and Recreation and Forestry Commission has been investigating the feasibility of constructing a disc golf course in this area. The Commission conducted a neighborhood
meeting to discuss the proposed disc golf course at which nearby property owners voiced several concerns. This input and the cost of the course, including the cost of other needed infrastructure
items such as a parking lot and bridges to cross the creek, are being reviewed.
At the November 2007 Parks Commission Meeting, the Commissioners made a motion to table further investigation on the feasibility of constructing a disc golf course and to set a public
meeting to discuss what should be the long term vision for this area.
The Parks and Recreation and Forestry Commission is seeking your input for this area of Mounds View.
