Sincerely, Greg Lee Director of Public Works T he Mounds View Parks and Recreation and Forestry Commission is seeking public input on what the long term plan for the park land area and existing trailway located north of Oakwood Park and east / northeast of Greenfield Park should be. In recent months the Parks and Recreation and Forestry Commission has been investigating the feasibility of constructing a disc golf course in this area. The Commission conducted a neighborhood meeting to discuss the proposed disc golf course at which nearby property owners voiced several concerns. This input and the cost of the course, including the cost of other needed infrastructure items such as a parking lot and bridges to cross the creek, are being reviewed. At the November 2007 Parks Commission Meeting, the Commissioners made a motion to table further investigation on the feasibility of constructing a disc golf course and to set a public meeting to discuss what should be the long term vision for this area. The Parks and Recreation and Forestry Commission is seeking your input for this area of Mounds View. Please fill out the attached Feedback Form and return it to the City by February 22, 2008.
