STATE OF MINNESOTA
APPROVAL OF SERVICE CONTRACTS WITH ARCHITECT MECHANICAL INC. FOR
HEATING VENTILATION AND AIR CONDITIONING (HVAC) AT THE PUBLIC WORKS AND
PARK BUILDING(S) AND WATER TREATMENT FACILITIES
WHEREAS, the City owns thirteen separate facilities with heating, ventilation and air
conditioning (HVAC) equipment, which require more complicated contractor assistance with
preventative maintenance to allow reliable, efficient and safe operation while providing
comfortable indoor air climates; and
WHEREAS, Architect Mechanical Inc. had been performing HVAC maintenance for Public
Works, Park Buildings and Water Treatment Facilities since 2007; and
WHEREAS, Staff, after careful consideration, is recommending Architect Mechanical Inc.
perform HVAC and equipment maintenance at the Public Works and Park Building(s) and Water
Treatment Facilities.
WHEREAS, Staff received a quote from Architect Mechanical Inc.:
Year 1: $8,250.00 annually
Year 2: $8,662.00 annually
Year 3: $9,075.00 annually
Year 4: $9,570.00 annually
Year 5: $10,048.00 annually
WHEREAS, Public Works Staff recommends that Architect Mechanical Inc. be contracted
for HVAC and equipment preventative maintenance on municipal buildings.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds View,
Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows:
Approves the service agreement with Architect Mechanical Inc. to perform HVAC and
equipment maintenance at Public Works, Park Buildings and Water Treatment
Facilities.
2. The Director of Public Works is hereby authorized and directed to execute all
appropriate documents to effectuate the actions contemplated by this resolution.
3. The Mayor and City Administrator, Staff and consultants are hereby authorized and
directed to take any and all additional steps and actions necessary or convenient in
order to accomplish the intent of this Resolution.
