CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
APPROVAL OF CHANGE ORDER #1 REGARDING THE
ARDAN PARK PONDS PROJECT
WHEREAS, the City Council approved Resolution 9995 on October 28, 2024,
authorizing Winberg Companies LLC to facilitate the Ardan Storm Water and Upland
Vegetation Project; and
WHEREAS, Staff was informed by the Contractor that their intention is to finish the
dredging of the Ardan Park Ponds by the end of this week and complete the project; and
WHEREAS, it was Staff's understanding the entire pile was going to be removed
during this project instead 1300 cubic yards were slated for removal; and
WHEREAS, instead of removing the entire pile an additional 2,300 cubic yards is
required to reduce the pile to an elevation of 915 feet; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds
View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows:
1. Accepts Change Order #1 from Winberg Companies LLC to remove an additional
2,300 cubic yards of sediment for an estimated cost of $86,940.00, not to exceed
$100,000.00 to be funded from 745-4415-7050.
2. The Director of Public Works is authorized to make approvals related to contract
modifications during construction of the Project on behalf of the City Council as per
the Purchasing Policy.
3. The Mayor and City Administrator, Staff and consultants are hereby authorized and
directed to take any and all additional steps and actions necessary or convenient in
order to accomplish the intent of this Resolution.
