Home My WebLink AboutOrdinance 1030 - 2025/03/10ORDINANCE NO. 1030 CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW COUNTY OF RAMSEY STATE OF MINNESOTA AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE MOUNDS VIEW CITY CODE TITLE IX: GENERAL REGULATIONS, CHAPTER 91: HEALTH AND SANITATION; NUISANCES, SECTION 91.001 RULES AND DEFINITIONS; 91.006 OUTSIDE PARKING AND STORAGE AND SECTION 91.020 PERMITTING EXCESSIVE GROWTH OF GRASS AND WEEDS UNLAWFUL THE CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW ORDAINS: SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Mounds View hereby amends Title IX, Chapter 91, Section 91.001 Rules and Definitions, of the Mounds View City Code by inserting the underlined language as follows: COMMERCIAL VEHICLE. Any vehicle with a gross weight classification of E (6,001 to 10,000 pounds) or higher, as identified on the license plate and specified in state statutes. Ordinary pick-up trucks, recreational vehicles (RVs) and passenger vans customary in residential districts with such a weight classification shall not be considered COMMERCIAL VEHICLES for purposes of this subchapter. SECTION 2. The City Council of the City of Mounds View hereby amends Title IX, Chapter 91, Section 91.006 (13)(4) of the Mounds View City Code by inserting the underlined language and removing the s#iskeR language as follows: § 91.006 OUTSIDE PARKING AND STORAGE. (B) Unlawful parking and storage (4) No person owning, driving or in charge of any commercial vehicle with a gross weight classification higher than G (12,001 to 15,000 pounds) as identified on the license plate and specified in state statutes, may cause or permit that vehicle to be parked outside or stand continuously for more than two hours on residential property or public street within a residential zone in the city. SECTION 3. The City Council of the City of Mounds View hereby amends Title IX, Chapter 91, Section 91.020 (A) of the Mounds View City Code by inserting the underlined language and removing the stricken language as follows: § 91.020 PERMITTING EXCESSIVE GROWTH OF GRASS AND WEEDS UNLAWFUL. SECTION 4. In accordance with Section 3.07 of the City Charter, City staff shall have the following summary printed in the official City newspaper in lieu of the complete ordinance: On March 10, 2025, the City Council adopted Ordinance No. 1030 amending the Mounds View City Code, Section 91.006 (B)(4) Outside Parking and Storage (by adding recreational vehicles) and Section 91.020 Permitting Excessive Growth of Grass and Weeds Unlawful by revising the definition of "noxious weeds". A printed copy of the ordinance is available for inspection during regular business hours at Mounds View City Hall and is available on line at the City's web site located at www.moundsviewmn.org. SECTION 5. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force 30 days from and after its passage and publication, in accordance with Section 3.09 of the City Charter.
