RESOLUTION NO. 10083 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING A CHICKEN -KEEPING LICENSE FOR <br />GERTRUDE THOMAS, 8150 LONG LAKE ROAD <br />WHEREAS, the Mounds View City Code, Chapter 90.005, allows limited and <br />controlled raising and keeping of chickens and/or ducks on properties zoned R-1, Single <br />Family Residential; and <br />WHEREAS, Gertrude Thomas has submitted an application, with an approved site <br />plan, and the appropriate fees to keep and raise chickens on her property located at 8150 <br />Long Lake Road; and <br />WHEREAS, Staff has reviewed the application and it meets all requirements set <br />forth in Chapter 90.005; and <br />WHEREAS, in accordance with Chapter 90.005, initial applications shall be <br />considered by the City Council after holding a public hearing, which was held on April 14, <br />2025. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mounds View City Council does <br />hereby approve a Chicken -Keeping License for Gertrude Thomas, 8150 Long Lake Road, <br />for no more than 12 chickens or 12 ducks or a combination of both; <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the license may be revoked by the City Council <br />based on negligence, nuisance, or violation Chapter 90.005. <br />BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the license will expire December 31, 2025, and <br />shall be renewed annually. <br />Adopted this 14th day of April, 2025. <br />ch Lindstrom, Mayor <br />Attest: <br />Brian Bee , Assistant City Administrator <br />(SEAL) <br />The Mounds View Vision <br />A Thriving Desirable Community <br />
