I, the undersigned, being the duly qualified. City Administrator of the City of
Mounds View, Minnesota, hereby certify that I have carefully compared the attached and
foregoing with the original thereof on file in my office, and the same is a full, true and
complete copy thereof, insofar as the same relates to:

PROCLAMATION
MAYOR JERRY LINKS
WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View mourns the passing of Jerry Linke, a dedicated public
servant and former mayor of our City; and
WHEREAS, from 1983 through 2004, Mayor Linke served as a council member for two years
and as mayor for 12 non-consecutive years; and
WHEREAS, Mayor Linke also served on the City of Mounds View Parks, Recreation, and
Forestry Commission, Planning Commission and Lakeside Park Commission; and
WHEREAS, beyond his official duties, Mayor Linke remained deeply engaged in civic
activities, supporting local organizations and working diligently to make Mounds View a better place for
all; and
WHEREAS, his involvement included being a longtime member of the Mounds View Lions
Club alongside his wife, Sharie, as well as volunteering as a youth T-ball and softball coach in the
community; and
WHEREAS, Mayor Linke led the City with integrity, compassion, and unwavering
commitment, supporting initiatives that strengthened the community, fostered growth, and ensured the
well-being of Mounds View residents; and
WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View expresses profound gratitude for his contributions; and
WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View extends heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and
all whose lives were touched by his leadership;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that I, Zach Lindstrom, Mayor of the City of
Mounds View, do hereby proclaim May 27, 2025, as a day of remembrance for Mayor Jerry Linke,
honoring his legacy of service and dedication to our community.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the City of
Mounds View, Minnesota, to be affixed this 27th day "ay, 2025,

Dear Sharie and Linke Family,
The Mounds View City Council and Staff are deeply saddened
to hear that your loved one, former Mounds View Mayor and
long-time resident of Mounds View, Jerry Linke, passed away
recently.
The City Council acknowledged him at our May 27, 2025, City
Council meeting by reading aloud the enclosed
proclamation. On behalf of the Mounds View City Council
and Staff, I present to you the enclosed proclamation in his
honor.
We send you are condolences and hope that your memories of
Jerry bring you comfort in this sad time.
