RESOLUTION 10102 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />APPROVING THE COST PROPOSALS FOR THE CONCRETE AND <br />ELECTRICAL INSTALLATIONS AT TRIBUTE PARK <br />WHEREAS, in 2022 the City Council requested that Staff investigate installing a possible <br />Veterans Memorial Park; and <br />WHEREAS, The City Council approved Concept 5 for the Tribute Park Resolution <br />10040. The Council further passed Resolution 10059 approving the Granite Features for the <br />Park; and <br />WHEREAS, the Tribute Park includes the installation of exposed aggregate sidewalks, a <br />sidewalk along the South end of the City Hall parking lot, flag poles and lighting for the trail, <br />features and flag poles; and <br />WHEREAS, Staff has received two proposals for the installation of the concrete walks, <br />and footings for the flag poles and granite features from the following contractors: <br />D & S Concrete $81,680.00 <br />Cornerstone Concrete $77,300.00; and <br />WHEREAS, Staff has received the following proposals for the electrical work including <br />fixtures, flag poles and installation from the following contractors: <br />Lakes Electric Did not submit a proposal <br />Muska Companies Proposal not received by deadline <br />Design Right Energy $279,800.00 <br />A.E.M. Electric Services Inc. $237,720.00 <br />Voss Lighting $220,720,00; and <br />WHEREAS, Staff recommends the Council approve the cost proposal for the concrete <br />and electrical installations at Tribute Park. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds View, <br />Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: <br />1. Approves the cost proposal for the concrete works from Cornerstone Concrete of <br />Lake Elmo MN at a cost of $77,300.00. <br />2. Approves the cost proposal for the electrical work from Voss Lighting of Arden Hills <br />MN at a cost of $220,720.00 <br />3. Council Approves a approves a %7 contingency of $20,861.40 for any unforeseen <br />issues that may arise during this project. Funded from the Special Projects Fund <br />2025 Budget, 480-4360-7050, to construct Tribute Park. <br />4. The Mayor and City Administrator, Staff and consultants are hereby <br />authorized and directed to take any and all additional steps and actions <br />necessary or convenient in order to accomplish the intent of this Resolution. <br />
