CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
APPROVING THE COST PROPOSALS FOR THE CONCRETE AND
ELECTRICAL INSTALLATIONS AT TRIBUTE PARK
WHEREAS, in 2022 the City Council requested that Staff investigate installing a possible
Veterans Memorial Park; and
WHEREAS, The City Council approved Concept 5 for the Tribute Park Resolution
10040. The Council further passed Resolution 10059 approving the Granite Features for the
Park; and
WHEREAS, the Tribute Park includes the installation of exposed aggregate sidewalks, a
sidewalk along the South end of the City Hall parking lot, flag poles and lighting for the trail,
features and flag poles; and
WHEREAS, Staff has received two proposals for the installation of the concrete walks,
and footings for the flag poles and granite features from the following contractors:
D & S Concrete $81,680.00
Cornerstone Concrete $77,300.00; and
WHEREAS, Staff has received the following proposals for the electrical work including
fixtures, flag poles and installation from the following contractors:
Lakes Electric Did not submit a proposal
Muska Companies Proposal not received by deadline
Design Right Energy $279,800.00
A.E.M. Electric Services Inc. $237,720.00
Voss Lighting $220,720,00; and
WHEREAS, Staff recommends the Council approve the cost proposal for the concrete
and electrical installations at Tribute Park.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds View,
Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows:
1. Approves the cost proposal for the concrete works from Cornerstone Concrete of
Lake Elmo MN at a cost of $77,300.00.
2. Approves the cost proposal for the electrical work from Voss Lighting of Arden Hills
MN at a cost of $220,720.00
3. Council Approves a approves a %7 contingency of $20,861.40 for any unforeseen
issues that may arise during this project. Funded from the Special Projects Fund
2025 Budget, 480-4360-7050, to construct Tribute Park.
4. The Mayor and City Administrator, Staff and consultants are hereby
authorized and directed to take any and all additional steps and actions
necessary or convenient in order to accomplish the intent of this Resolution.
