CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
APPROVING PROPOSAL FROM STANTEC ENGINEERING SERVICES TO APPLY
FOR A SAFE STREETS FOR ALL (SS4A) GRANT FROM THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF
TRANSPORTATION
WHEREAS, the City has the responsibility to efficiently operate the street system; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has received several concerns related to speeding and
traffic on local streets; and
WHEREAS, Staff and Stantec recommend applying for the Safe Streets for All (SS4A)
Grant from U.S. Department of Transportation; and
WHEREAS, Stantec has provided a cost proposal of $8,350.00 to assist in writing and
applying for the SS4A grant; and
WHEREAS, Staff recommends the City Council approve this resolution for Stantec to
assist with the grant application process at a cost of $8,350.00 to be funded from the Street
Improvement Fund, account 485-4470-7050.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds View,
Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows:
1. Approves the proposal from Stantec Engineering Services for the grant application
process at a cost of $8,350.00.
2. Funded from the 2025 adopted Street Improvement Fund 2025, account 485-4470-
7050.
3. The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to execute all
appropriate documents to effectuate the actions contemplated by this resolution.
4. The Mayor and City Administrator, Staff and consultants are hereby
authorized and directed to take any and all additional steps and actions
necessary or convenient in order to accomplish the intent of this Resolution.
