CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
A RESOLUTION ADOPTING A DATA PRACTICES POLICY AND
DESIGNATING THE RESPONSIBLE AUTHORITY AND COMPLIANCE OFFICIAL
WHEREAS, every year by August 1st, the City of Mounds View (the "City") is
required to update its policy concerning its procedures, obligations, and data inventory
pursuant to the Minnesota Government Data Practices Act (Minnesota Statutes Chapter
13) ("MGDPA"); and
WHEREAS, the MGDPA requires the City to designate the individual responsible
for the collection, use, and dissemination of any set of data on individuals, government
data, or summary data for the City (the "Responsible Authority"); and
WHEREAS, the MGDPA also requires the City to designate the individual
responsible for persons to direct questions or concerns regarding problems in obtaining
access to data or other data practices problems for the City (the "Compliance Official").
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Mounds
View hereby adopts the updated document entitled "City of Mounds View Minnesota
Government Data Practices Act Guidelines and Procedures" as the City's official MGDPA
policy (Exhibit A).
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Administrator is hereby designated as
the Responsible Authority for the purposes of the MGDPA and the City's MGDPA policy.
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the City Administrator is also hereby designated
as the Compliance Official for the purposes of the MGDPA and the City's MGDPA policy.
