RESOLUTION 10133 CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW COUNTY OF RAMSEY STATE OF MINNESOTA AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF (1) 2026 F350 SERVICE PICKUP TRUCK AND (1) 2026 F250 SERVICE PICKUP TRUCK WHEREAS, as part of the Public Works Department's maintenance program, service trucks are purchased for the departments to perform maintenance and inspections required throughout the City; and WHEREAS, the City Council understands the need for Public Works to properly perform various tasks such as Storm Sewer and Pavement Management maintenance, water main breaks, storm debris pickup, and inspections in a timely manner; and WHEREAS, Staff has been utilizing Unit 448, a 2012 Ford F350 4x4, and unit 646, a 2011 Ford 250 4x4 truck, unit #646for the Streets and Storm Sewer Maintenance; and WHEREAS, Staff received a quote from Saxon Fleet Services of Oakdale MN for (1) 2026 F350 4x4 XL Regular cab pickup, 8' box with options at the cost of $49,720.94 and (1) 2026 F250 4x4 regular cab pickup, 8' box XL at the cost of $48,651.95; and WHEREAS, Staff received a quote from Crysteel of Fridley, MN for the purchase and installation of a 5.0 liftgate with options and a Boss EXT 8'-10' Straight Blade Plow with options from state bid (Contract # 264964) for the cost of $16,364.50 for the F350 pickup and a 5.0 liftgate and new Boss 9'-2" V-XT Poly Vee plow installed from state bid (Contract # 264964) cost of $16,364.50 for the F250 pickup from Crysteel of Fridley, MN; and WHEREAS, Staff also recommends the purchase of seat covers, body strobes, decals, head rack for a cost of $1,607.00 for each pickup, for a total cost of $3,214.00; and WHEREAS, both purchases are respectfully included in the 2025 budget, Vehicle and Equipment Pavement Management Fund, account 460-4470-7040 and Vehicle Storm Water Fund, 745-4415-7030. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: 1. The City Council hereby accepts the quotes for (1) 2026 F350 Pickup in the amount of $49,720.94, and (1) 2026 F250 Pickup in the amount of $48,461.95 as submitted by Saxon Fleet Services of Oakdale, MN including sales tax or license fees.
