RESOLUTION 10157 CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW COUNTY OF RAMSEY STATE OF MINNESOTA WHEREAS, as part of 2022-2023 Street Reconstruction Project driveway aprons were installed as is. Since the completion of the project Staff and the City Council have received several complaints about the difficulty in turning into these driveways; and WHEREAS, the City Council directed Staff to alter the driveway wings to help alleviate this situation; and WHEREAS, Staff contacted properties along Spring Lake Road that would want to have their apron wing widened to include that the property owners sign an authorization form for this adjustment; and WHEREAS, 2 property owners inquired if changes to the proposed design could be made, and Council approved those minor adjustments to the proposed design; and WHEREAS, During the final review of the plans and meeting with the Contractor, Staff discovered the properties at 8289 and 8380 Spring Lake Road would require a driveway variance due to City Code setback requirements. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: 1. Approves an Administrative Driveway Variance of a V setback on the Southern wing of the driveway for 8289 Spring Lake Road. 2. Approves an Administrative Driveway Variance of a 1' setback on the Northern wing of the driveway for 8380 Spring Lake Road. 3. The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to execute all appropriate documents to effectuate the actions contemplated by this resolution. 4. The Mayor and City Administrator, Staff and consultants are hereby authorized and directed to take any and all additional steps and actions necessary or convenient in order to accomplish the intent of this Resolution.
