HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 1049 - 2025/10/27ORDINANCE NO. 1049 CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW COUNTY OF RAMSEY STATE OF MINNESOTA AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE 2026 CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW FEE SCHEDULE THE CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW ORDAINS: SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Mounds View hereby amends the 2024 City of Mounds View Fee Schedule by adding the underlined material and deleting the striGkeR material as follows: See Exhibit A SECTION 2. Pursuant to Minnesota Law, the Mounds View City Charter, and Mounds View City Code, the 2025 fee schedule for City services and licensing is hereby adopted after making the specified revisions as shown in Exhibit A. SECTION 3. In accordance with Section 3.07 of the City Charter, City staff shall have the following summary printed in the official City newspaper in lieu of this entire ordinance, as said summary would clearly inform the public of the intent and effect of the ordinance: On October 27, 2025, the City Council adopted Ordinance 1049, entitled "An Ordinance adopting the 2026 City of Mounds View Fee Schedule," which approved the City's 2026 fee schedule. Numerous city fees contained within the fee schedule were modified for 2026. A printed copy of the complete ordinance, which includes the entire fee schedule, is available for inspection by any person during regular office hours at the office of the city administrator. A copy of the ordinance, including the revised fee schedule, is also available online on the City's website at www.moundsviewmn.org. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force 30 days from and after its passage and publication, in accordance with Section 3.09 of the City Charter. OTHER INSPECTION / PLANNING FEES Applicants are responsible for all costs incurred associated with the filing, review and processing of development applications. Such fees are to be paid in escrow up front or upon receipt of statement from the City of Mounds View. Fees may include, but are not limited to, costs for consultants retained by the City, consultant planning services, attorney, and engineer fees. A deposit may also be required to cover costs of public notices, materials and staff time spent on the review, research or preparation of materials associated with each application. The applicant shall be responsible for all reasonable costs incurred in excess of the initial fee and/or deposit amount. Any portion of the deposit not spent or encumbered shall be refunded to the applicant within 30 days after consideration of the application is completed. Payment of any park dedication fees shall be made by the applicant after final plat approval. Application fees are not refundable.
