RESOLUTION 10210 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />AUTHORIZE RECRUITMENT PROCESS FOR 2026 PUBLIC WORKS SEASONAL POSITIONS <br />WHEREAS, Resolution 5546 requires that seasonal positions be approved by the Mounds <br />View City Council; and <br />WHEREAS, seasonal employees benefit the City by providing labor services during periods of <br />higher labor demand at lower pay rates; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View Public Works Department has a need to hire seasonal <br />employees; and <br />WHEREAS, the Public Works Department is recommending that seasonal positions be <br />approved for the 2026 summer season; and <br />WHEREAS, Staff is recommending new hires for 2026 start at the hourly rate of $18.75/hour <br />and returning seasonal workers be compensated at $19.28/hour. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds View, <br />Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: <br />The 2026 Seasonal Public Works positions are authorized to recruit a total of seven (7) <br />positions. These positions would work as summer or fall seasonal employees. <br />2. All newly hired Public Works seasonal positions will be paid an hourly rate of <br />$18.75/hour. Returning seasonal workers will be compensated at an hourly rate of <br />$19.28/hour. <br />3. Employees completing 17 weeks of the season will receive $250 (based on work weeks <br />completed) on their last paycheck. <br />4.
