RESOLUTION 10213 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />APPROVING THE PROPOSAL FROM PETERSON BROS. ROOFING FOR ROOF <br />REPLACEMENT AT THE GROVELAND PARK BUILDING <br />WHEREAS, in 2023 the City Council approved having Inspec perform <br />inspections on all City building roofs to include repair and replacement <br />recommendations for the Roof Management Program; and <br />WHEREAS, Staff working with Garland Company LLC, reviewed the report and <br />requested that they secure roof repair estimates; and <br />WHEREAS, the Scope of the repair work will include the following: <br />• Remove and discard all the existing roofing <br />• Install new drip edge metal <br />• Remove existing soffit panels and install new <br />• Install new underlayment R-Mer Seal <br />• Install new pipe boots and vent covers as needed <br />• Install Timberline HDZ Shingles by GAF <br />• Insure a watertight seal <br />• Clean up and haul away debris. Clean up as needed <br />WHEREAS, Garland Company received three estimates for the repair work, <br />1. Peterson Bros. Roofing $28,250.00 <br />2. Berwald Roofing Company, Inc. $34,625.00 <br />3. BL Dalsin Generation of Roofing $72,663.00; and <br />WHEREAS, Staff recommend the City Council approve the proposal from Garland <br />Company LLC. for the roof repairs to Groveland Park Building for a total of $28,250.00; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, Staff also recommend the Council approve a contingency of 7% or <br />$1,977.50 for any unforeseen issues that may arise during the repair work. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds <br />View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: <br />Approves the proposal from Garland Company LLC. for roof repairs to the <br />Groveland Park Shelter Building at a cost of $28,250.00. <br />
