RESOLUTION NO. 10217 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING up to $25,000 FOR FOOD SHELF ASSISTANCE <br />WHEREAS, the City Council at their October 27, 2025, Council meeting and <br />November 3, 2025, workshop discussed food insecurity as a result of the federal <br />government shutdown resulting in a disruption of SNAP benefits; and, <br />WHEREAS, as a result of that discussion, individuals worked with Manna Market <br />to set up a drive -through food shelf on Sunday November 2, 2025, with 200+ families <br />being served; and, <br />WHEREAS, council discussed at the November workshop a desire and consensus <br />to provide $20,000 to help fund Ralph Reeder and $4,500 for Manna Market which will <br />provide a weekly Sunday drive -through food shelf through the end of the year; and, <br />WHEREAS, that funding support to Ralph Reeder and Manna Market made a <br />demonstrable impact upon community members suffering hardships; and, <br />WHEREAS, the City Council at their December 9, 2025, Council meeting approved <br />an additional $7,200 to provide support for January and February, and based on the past <br />two months of the drive thru distribution, there remains a substantive need to continue <br />providing food to those in need, and <br />WHEREAS, this is a non- budgeted item and an increase of $25,000 is needed for <br />the General Fund budget, account number 100-4700-3900. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Mounds View City Council <br />approves up to $25,000 in food shelf assistance and an increase to the General Fund <br />budget. <br />Adopted this 23rd Day of February 2026_ <br />ATTEST: <br />4,16 �A <br />Nyle/fikmgff, City Administrator <br />(SEAL) <br />The mou:rui�j View Vision <br />A Thriving Desirable Community <br />
