CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
AUTHORIZING UP TO $1,500 TO JOIN CITIES FOR
SAFE AND STABLE COMMUNITIES
WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View is committed to serving all residents and visitors
with dignity, respect, and fairness, and to fostering a safe, welcoming, and inclusive
community; and
WHEREAS, recent and ongoing immigration operations, i.e. Metro Surge, has impacted
many communities across the state; and
WHEREAS, our schools are reporting high absenteeism rates, the city's drive thru food
shelf is experiencing robust use with nearly half of the boxes having to be delivered, and
WHEREAS, rent assistance requests from Community Support Center, and directly from
residents is at a record level; and
WHEREAS, the Cities for Safe and Stable Communities was created in response to these
and other challenges to focus on a united local voice
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Mounds View City Council authorizes
up to $1,500 from account 100-4160-3610 to join with other cities via the Cities for Safe
and Stable Communities.
