IN **s] IL" I[*] Z,1,[� <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING A CHICKEN -KEEPING LICENSE FOR <br />CHRISTIAN JOHNSON, 5200 EDGEWOOD DRIVE <br />WHEREAS, the Mounds View City Code, Chapter 90.005, allows limited and <br />controlled raising and keeping of chickens and/or ducks on properties zoned R-1, Single <br />Family Residential; and <br />WHEREAS, Christian Johnson has made application for a chicken -keeping <br />license, submitted an approved site plan, and has paid the appropriate fees to keep and <br />raise chickens on his property located at 5200 Edgewood Drive; and <br />WHEREAS, Staff has reviewed the application, and it meets all requirements set <br />forth in Chapter 90.005, and <br />WHEREAS, in accordance with Chapter 90.005, initial applications shall be <br />considered by the City Council after holding a public hearing, which was held April 13, <br />2026. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mounds View City Council does <br />hereby approve a Chicken -Keeping License for Christian Johnson, 5200 Edgewood <br />Drive, for no more than 12 chickens or 12 ducks or a combination of both. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the license may be revoked or denied by the <br />City Council based on negligence, nuisance, or violation Chapter 90.005. <br />BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the license would expire on December 31, 2026, <br />and shall be renewed annually. <br />Adopted on this 13t" day of April, 2026. <br />fat L' , Mayor <br />ATTEST. <br />Brian Beeman, Acting City Administrator <br />(Seal) <br />
