CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
RESOLUTION APPROVING A CHICKEN -KEEPING LICENSE FOR
CHRISTIAN JOHNSON, 5200 EDGEWOOD DRIVE
WHEREAS, the Mounds View City Code, Chapter 90.005, allows limited and
controlled raising and keeping of chickens and/or ducks on properties zoned R-1, Single
Family Residential; and
WHEREAS, Christian Johnson has made application for a chicken -keeping
license, submitted an approved site plan, and has paid the appropriate fees to keep and
raise chickens on his property located at 5200 Edgewood Drive; and
WHEREAS, Staff has reviewed the application, and it meets all requirements set
forth in Chapter 90.005, and
WHEREAS, in accordance with Chapter 90.005, initial applications shall be
considered by the City Council after holding a public hearing, which was held April 13,
2026.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mounds View City Council does
hereby approve a Chicken -Keeping License for Christian Johnson, 5200 Edgewood
Drive, for no more than 12 chickens or 12 ducks or a combination of both.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the license may be revoked or denied by the
City Council based on negligence, nuisance, or violation Chapter 90.005.
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the license would expire on December 31, 2026,
and shall be renewed annually.
