HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 10233 - 2026/04/13RESOLUTION 10233 CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW COUNTY OF RAMSEY STATE OF MINNESOTA APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF (2) NEW SKID STEER LOADERS FOR THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT WHEREAS, as part of the Public Works Departments maintenance program, utility equipment are purchased for the departments to perform maintenance required throughout the City; and WHEREAS, the City Council understands the need for Public Works to properly perform various tasks such as snow removal operations, water main break repairs, grounds maintenance, asphalt/patching maintenance, trail maintenance, tree removals, and many other various tasks; and WHEREAS, the Public Works Department has been utilizing Unit #430 and Unit #708, Bob Cat Skid Steers for these various tasks; and WHEREAS, Staff has been utilizing Unit #430 a 2019 Bobcat S595 Skid Steer Loader, and Unit #708 a 2019 Bobcat S650 Skid Steer Loader for maintenance activities; and WHEREAS, the purchases are included in the 2026 adopted budget, in Vehicle and Equipment Fund 460-4470-7030, and Water Infrastructure and Equipment Maintenance Fund 700-4823-7030; and WHEREAS, Staff has obtained a quote from Tri State Bob Cat of Little Canada MN to purchase a 2026 S66 T4 Bobcat Skid Steer Loader, for $36,225.66. Funded from the Vehicle and Equipment Fund 460-4470-7030; and WHEREAS, Staff has obtained a quote from Tri State Bob Cat of Little Canada MN to purchase a 2026 S650 T4 Bobcat Skid Steer Loader, for $37,641.16. Funded from the Water Infrastructure and Equipment Maintenance Fund 700-4823-7030. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: 1. The City hereby authorizes the purchase of (1) 2026 S66 T4 Bobcat Skid Steer, in the amount of $36,225.66 from Tri-State Bobcat of Little Canada MN. 2. The City hereby authorizes the purchase of (1) 2026 S650 T4 Bobcat Skid Steer, for $37,641.16 from Tri-State Bobcat of Little Canada MN. The Mayor and City Administrator, Staff and consultants are hereby authorized and directed to take any and all additional steps and actions necessary or convenient in order to accomplish the intent of this Resolution.
