CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING LAW ENFORCEMENT RMS DATA TRANSFER
WHEREAS, the police departments of Roseville, Maplewood and White Bear Lake
(Requesting Agencies) are in the process of transitioning to a new law enforcement
records management system (RMS); and
WHEREAS, the Requesting Agencies currently use CentralSquare Technologies
(CentralSquare) and are part of the Ramsey County RMS Users Group, which Mounds
View uses and is also part of, and to facilitate their transition, the Requesting Agencies
need to transfer their respective data to a new RMS, Axon; and
WHEREAS, because all Ramsey County RMS Users Group data is maintained in
a central shared environment, all member law enforcement agencies have been asked to
authorize the data transfer to ensure that Axon can successfully isolate and convert only
the Requesting Agencies' data, after which it will permanently purge any remaining data;
and
WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View seeks to assist the Requesting Agencies'
transition to ensure that their law enforcement data can be successfully identified and
removed from CentralSquare's shared environment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MOUNDS VIEW, AS FOLLOWS:
1. The recitals set forth in this Resolution are incorporated into and made a part
of this Resolution.
2. That above -described data transfer is approved, and the City of Mounds
View's police chief is authorized to execute any forms required to facilitate said transfer.
3. The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to
execute any forms, agreements and all appropriate other documents, to effectuate the
transaction contemplated by this Resolution.
4. The Mayor and City Administrator, staff and consultants are hereby
authorized and directed to take any and all additional steps and actions necessary or
convenient to effectuate the data transfer in order to accomplish the intent of this
Resolution.
