INFORMATION AND ANNOUNCEMENTS. <br />Councihnember Stille announced Metropolitan Council Chair Peter Bell will be presenting the <br />State of the Region address at Silverwood Park on Monday, February 1, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. <br />Individuals interested in attending can sign up on the Metropolitan Council website at <br />www.metrocouncil.ore or call 651-602-1844. <br />Mayor Faust announced the following: <br />• Village Notes was distributed this week. He commended staff on the quality of the <br />newsletter. <br />• Star/Tribune December 14, 2009 article addressing the concern over the availability of <br />good water. He commented that while Minnesota is in good shape they need to take care <br />of the water for the future. <br />• MWMO newspaper, The Drift, includes information on a free one hour workshop offered <br />on best practices for snow and ice control by homeowners. He suggested consideration <br />of holding a workshop for homeowners at city hall; one scheduled during the day and one <br />scheduled at evening.
