City Council Regular Meeting Minutes <br />April 27, 2010 <br />Page 5 <br />1 • Central Park ribbon cutting ceremony is scheduled for May 10, 2010. <br />2 • The May 11, 2010 City Council meeting agenda includes a Citizens Academy <br />3 presentation and a report from the City Engineer on 2011 and beyond street projects and <br />4 storm water improvements. <br />5 • Press release on the Get Active campaign. <br />6 <br />7 Councilmember Roth reported that CTV will be awarding scholarships in the month of May, and <br />8 that a few St. Anthony residents will be receiving these scholarships. He reported on his <br />9 attendance at the CTV Annual Volunteer Banquet held at the 49er Building in St. Anthony. <br />10 <br />11 Councilmember Stille congratulated 2010 Villager of the Year, Ted Holsten, and 2010 <br />12 Outstanding Business of the Year, The Village Pub, for receiving their awards at the Chamber of <br />13 Commerce Dinner on April 22, 2010. <br />14 <br />15 Councilmember Gray reported on his attendance at the April 15, 2010 Lions Club Board of <br />16 Directors meeting and announced there will be a corn roast at Village Fest. He reported on his <br />17 attendance at the Chamber of Commerce Annual Meering on April 22, 2010 and congratulated <br />18 2010 Villager of the Year, Ted Holsten, and 2010 Outstanding Business of the Year, The Village <br />19 Pub. <br />20 <br />21 Councilmember Jenson reported on his attendance at the April 22, 2010 Chamber of Commerce <br />22 Annual Meeting and congratulated Ted Holsten and The Village Pub for their awards. <br />23 <br />24 Mayor Faust reported on his attendance at the following events: <br />25 • April 17, 2010 Resident Cleanup along Silver Lake Road. Thank you to the residents <br />26 that initiated the cleanup. <br />27 • April 22, 2010 Middle Mississippi Watershed Management Organization Board Meeting. <br />28 The meeting included an approval to proceed with plans for the new building which will <br />29 be at the previous International Electrical Brotherhood location. <br />30 • Chamber of Commerce Annual Meeting. He stated 2010 Villager of the Year Ted <br />31 Holsten has been in the City since the 1950's and has been dutiful in giving back to the <br />32 community. 2010 Outstanding Business of the Year, The Village Pub, is providing a <br />33 good venue. He encouraged residents to support local businesses. He thanked the board <br />34 members of the Chamber of Commerce for giving their time. <br />35 <br />36 VIII. COMMUNITY FORUM. <br />37 <br />38 Mayor Faust invited residents to come forward at this time and address the Council on items that <br />39 are not on the regular agenda. <br />40 <br />41 Hearing none, Mayor Faust moved forward with the agenda. <br />42 <br />43 IX.
