REPORTS FROM CITY MANAGER AND COUNCIL MEMBERS. 14 <br /> 15 <br />City Manager Casey announced that Chris Fuller and Mike Sitarz were recently named Fire 16 <br />Instructors of the Year by Fire Instructors & Training Officers of Minnesota. He stated this is a 17 <br />prestigious award and was pleased to have two fire fighters from St. Anthony receive the award. 18 <br /> 19 <br />Mayor Faust expressed the City Council’s congratulations and appreciation to Mr. Fuller and Mr. 20 <br />Sitarz for their efforts. 21 <br /> 22 <br />Councilmember Gray – No report. 23 <br /> 24 <br />Councilmember Jenson reported on his attendance at the January 31, February 1, and February 2 25 <br />School District candidate forum to select a new superintendent. He stated the candidate selected 26 <br />is Bob Laney from the St. Louis Park School District. 27 <br /> 28 <br />Councilmember Roth reported on his attendance at the February 2nd Cable Commission meeting 29 <br />at which time results were presented from the surveys of the community as well as results from 30 <br />testing done throughout the district which will be helpful during contract negotiations with 31 <br />Comcast. 32 <br /> 33 <br />Councilmember Stille – No report. 34 <br /> 35 <br />Mayor Faust reported on his attendance at the following: 36 <br /> January 26th forum sponsored by Sen. Franken at the University of Minnesota regarding 37 <br />energy savings and renewable energy. He noted that the City was recognized for its 38 <br />Green Step City efforts and its water reuse project. 39 <br /> January 27th introductory remarks at the winter snowplowing and turf maintenance class. 40 <br /> January 30th City Council work session. 41 <br /> February 13th MWMO organizational restructure meeting. 42 <br /> 43 <br /> 44 <br /> 45 <br /> 46
