Ordinance 2012-10; An Ordinance Amending Chapter 33 and Chapter 52 Regarding <br />Utility Billing Procedures. (Final Readingl. Mark Casey, City Manager, presenting. <br />City Manager Casey advised that this is the Final Reading of the Ordinance amendment <br />regarding utility billing procedures and noted the prior two readings did not include any <br />s ug ges ted changes. He explained that the current process for charging penalties on delinquent <br />utility bills is $2 for the first occurrence and 10% of the cumulative balance thereafter and the <br />amended ordinance would include a 5% cumulative penalty per occurrence; in addition , <br />delinquent accounts with balances greater than $50 and at least two quarters past due would be <br />certi fied to the County. <br />Motion by Councilmember Jenson , seconded by Councilmember Roth , to approve Final Reading <br />and Adopt Ordinance 2012-10; Amending Chapter 33 and Chapter 52 Regarding Utility Billing <br />Procedures. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />REPORTS FROM CITY MANAGER AND COUNCIL MEMBERS. <br />City Manager Casey -No report. <br />Councilmember Roth -No report. <br />Councilmember Stille -No report. <br />Councilmember Gray reported on his attendance at the November 14th League of Minnesota <br />Cities regional meeting.
