CITY OF ST. ANTHONY VILLAGE <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION 13-046 <br />RESOLUTION TO APPROVE A REQUEST TO KEEP <br />THREE (3) FEMALE CHICKENS IN AN R-1 ZONING DISTRICT <br />AT 2617 - 32nd AVENUE NE <br />WHEREAS, staff received a request from Paul and Lynn Quijada, 2617 - 32nd <br />Avenue NE, about whether or not the City allows chickens in the <br />residential zoning district; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of St. Anthony Code of Ordinances, Section 91.56,Keeping of <br />Certain Animals, specifies that livestock, including chickens, require <br />approval from the City Council; and <br />WHEREAS, Paul and Lynn Quijada has submitted a written request for approval <br />from the City Council, as outlined in Subsection 91.56, to approve his <br />request to keep chickens; and <br />WHEREAS, Paul and Lynn Quijada has submitted a diagram of the enclosure <br />that will house the chickens; and <br />WHEREAS, Hennepin County Environmental Health Division has stated that <br />this matter is within the City's jurisdiction and authority; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of St. <br />Anthony approves the request to keep three (3) female chickens in an R-1 Zoning <br />District at 2617 - 32nd Avenue NE <br />Adopted this 11th day of Ltme 2013. <br />ATTEST: adv-)9f� <br />Barbara J.
