CITY OF ST. ANTHONY VILLAGE <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION 14-042 <br />RESOLUTION TO APPROVE A REQUEST TO KEEP <br />FIVE (5) FEMALE CHICKENS IN AN R-1 ZONING DISTRICT <br />AT 3520 EDWARD STREET <br />WHEREAS, staff received a request from Valentina and Alexander Poletz, about <br />whether or not the City allows chickens in the residential zoning <br />district; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of St. Anthony Code of Ordinances, Section 91.56,Keeping of <br />Certain Animals, specifies that livestock, including chickens, require <br />approval from the City Council; and <br />WHEREAS, Valentina and Alexander Poletz has submitted a written request for <br />approval from the City Council, as outlined in Subsection 91.56, to <br />approve his request to keep chickens; and <br />WHEREAS, Hennepin County Environmental Health Division has stated that <br />this matter is within the City's jurisdiction and authority; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of St. <br />Anthony approves the request to keep five (5) female chickens in an R-1 Zoning <br />District at 3520 Edward Street <br />Adopted this 101h day of Lune 2014. <br />Jerome O.
